PROGRAM DESCRIPTION / FORMAT:

  • Currently we are offering the course for 3rd-8th grade students.  We shall specifically be covering arithmetic.  Some students may find this course easier to follow but eventually they will need the concepts covered here in that will help them master higher math skills.

  • The purpose of education is to appropriately prepare our children for their future and create individuals who will have good temperament and moral values.  In the current times of COVID we need to find innovative solutions to our existing problems along with developing ability to be a creative thinker. Learning Vedic math can be one such avenue.

What is Vedic math?

Vedic Mathematics' is the name given to the ancient system of mathematics. The system is based on 16 Vedic Sutras (a rule or aphorism in Sanskrit literature). Sutras or the formulae describe a natural way of solving a range of mathematical problems. It is a unique technique of calculations based on simple rules and principles, with which any mathematical problem - be it arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, or trigonometry could be solved. This system was revived by Swami Bharti Krishna Tirthaji between 1911-1918 and is still in use today. Vedic Math makes calculations 10-15 times faster than a regular Mathematical system. The otherwise complicated mathematical problems can be solved in very fewer steps compared to the traditional systems.
