FOUNDERS:

First of all, we are parents who are in quest of giving the right foundation, creative education and values to our kids. With this mission in mind we have formed this academy.

Dr. Java Joshi (Founder/CEO) java@academyofcreativearts.com

Born in India at a young age Java earned several accolades in addition to earning Masters in Fine Arts and Ph.D. in Drawing & Painting from India and Masters in Multimedia and Web design from Art Institute of Atlanta USA. 

Early in her career (at age of 13) Java was influenced by Intuitive Abstract Impressionism and started doing solo and group shows of her paintings. Java has also been involved with theatre since childhood and has acted in 200+ plays, short films, TV plays/shows etc. Java comes from a theatre family and her parents have been doing theatre for over 50 years in India. Been involved in both painting and performing arts a large portion of her work reflects relationship between art of painting and theatre with paintings based on themes of “Plays/theatre from across the world". She has created multiple themed series’ such as "Indian Villages”, “Indian Folk Dances” and her most recent collection created during the Covid-19 lockdown titled “Dispositions 2020” that focuses on paintings based on the state of mind during confinement and dealing with racial inequality. Java likes to express herself in oil, acrylic, pencil and ink sometimes combining non-traditional mediums. "When observing my work I would like you to feel energized and refreshed” as Java likes to say.

For the last 15 years Java has been involved in promoting art in collaboration with various art outlets including being part of the planning committee for Lexington Open Studios where many local artists showcase their work, helping organize various art competitions, encouraging other artists and creative souls to collaborate and showcase their work. Java has judged many art competitions and has been an active art ambassador in the New England area (USA). Java has also participated in multiple solo/group art shows. Java was also nominated and honored by India New England "Women of the Year" awards in 2013 for her contributions in the field of art, also honored by Gurjar for notable contributions and promotion of art and specially invited to India and felicitated by legendary music maestro Shankar Mahadevan for spreading the love for art in the next generation.

Java loves to share her passion of art through teaching. Her objective is to spread the love of art among children and create the next generation of artists. To achieve her mission for spreading the love for art and enabling the next generation, Java started Academy of Creative Arts which is a school where more than 35 different creative and performing art programs are taught under one roof in Burlington. Java is the Founder and CEO of Academy of Creative Arts and actively teaches art to students ranging from 3 to 73 years...

Hetal Joshi (Founder/President) hetal@academyofcreativearts.com

Hetal’s educational background is in Business & Marketing Management and came to US for his Masters in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University. Hetal started his career in consulting with Deloitte and has been doing strategy consulting for about 20 years. After Deloitte, Hetal was involved with a couple of start-up ventures, led Customer Experience Strategy Business Consulting Practice for Cognizant (NA & APAC regions) and currently serves as Vice President of Worldwide Services for SaaS based Software Kuebix.

Hetal also holds a Diploma in Performing Arts (Dramatics) from India. Hetal has also been involved in theatre from his childhood days. He has acted in over 40-50 plays and has written and directed many comedy plays, adult and kids skits, mime etc. Hetal also won national level awards for is acting during his dramatics days.

Hetal and Java both are creative souls and passionate about art and sharing their love for art in the community.
