PAYMENT AND MISSED CLASS POLICY:
Training requires consistency in order to achieve the most benefit. However, we understand that students may occasionally need to miss a class. Use the following guidelines to ensure that you get the most out of your classes at The Academy of Creative Arts.
PAYMENT AND MISSED CLASS POLICY:
This is a semester based course, meaning there are 12 weeks of classes per payment and enrollment. All students who attend the first class will be considered enrolled for the full session of classes that semester. Students should plan to attend for all 12 weeks. Late registrations (registrations made after the new semester has begun) will be enrolled for the following semester.
Your class fees must be completed during the first week of class of the new semester. Late payments will result in a late fee. Payments may be made online or by cash, check or credit card at the front desk. Students who do not pay at the beginning will not be allowed to join the class. This is to better manage the financial aspects in the academy.
Session fees will not be adjusted if a student is absent from class for any reason. Students will need to pay for the entire 12 classes irrespective of how many classes they attend. If a student misses their class, the management or the teacher is not responsible for providing the makeup class. However, videos of the missed class(es), if available, will be shared with the student so they can practice on their own.
All currently enrolled students will be automatically enrolled for the next semester. If they wish to discontinue classes, they need to inform the instructor a week in advance before the next session begins. If students wish to “take a break” they will need to sit out for the remaining semester. Anyone who will miss classes for a month, it is strictly preferable to register for the following session.
Please be sure to read and sign the waiver upon enrollment. Waivers are updated yearly and all parents should see the front desk admin upon first check in to make sure the waiver is signed and is up to date.
Students paying via Credit Card, there is a bank fee levied for those transactions. From now on they will need to cover the bank fee as well.
Every student and parent should maintain discipline and show respect towards the guru or teacher.
Everyone entering the class should remove their shoes outside the class before entering.
Dress Code: Students should be dressed in Salwar-Kameez, and Dupatta properly draped, and their hair should be neatly tied back. In case of short hair, students should wear a hair band or put in clips. For smaller kids, dupatta is optional. Maintain the class dress code in salwar and leggings only for the dance class.
Parents can be present in the class only if required and permitted by the teacher. Else, it is preferable for parents to wait outside the studio.
The Academy management/school/teacher is not responsible for any physical injury or hurt caused to the students during the process of learning dance or while being in the class or on the building premises.
The school/teacher has the right to discontinue training of any student if they fail to abide by the rules.
We wish you a wonderful learning experience - these policies are required and in place so that we can be respectful of the instructor's time and commitment, and of the disciplines needed to learn the art form.
